How to Introduce the Characters
In Riders of the Maelstrom: Act 1: Escape from Aris our HEROES start the adventure In Media Res (Latin for “In the Middle of Things”) Our Heroes are being chased across a residential platform. They are on foot fleeing stormtroopers in the tropical rain forest planet of Aris. The Game Master can explain that upon returning from their mission on Questal, General Dravits Draven of Rebel Intelligence received a transmission from an asset known as Dagger. They were dispatched to Aris to infiltrate a secret meeting between two Imperial Moffs. However, things quickly fell apart when upon arrival one of the Rebel Agents talked a port forman into loaning him 25 credits only to pay the man 25 credits as a tip. This enraged the forman resulting in him calling the Imperials. Then when questioned by the Stormtroopers one of the Rebel Agents smarted off stating they were Imperial Boot Inspectors.

Ways to Expand the Adventure
The Partisans: In Episode Five: The Last Chance have the Rebel Base located on Oasis be under the control of Saw Gerrera and his Partisans. Saw Gerrera has lead his people to Oasis due to its location in the Maelstrom. He is following rumors of the Death Star Project in the Kessel System which is also a part of the Maelstrom. Enfys Nest is also here with the Cloud Riders. During the Space Battle Enfys Nest will at the last possible moment board the Kuari Princess to stop the pirates. If the PCs fail to overthrow the pirates and the ship is going to crash the GM can have Enfys Nest save the day in order to ensure the PCs survive.
