Review Player Adventure Logs

Read the Module

Review the Players Adventure Logs and verify if they have completed any of the One Shot First adventures or the Under a Black Sun adventure to determine how well the players are know of by Black Sun and if they are liked or disliked by Black Sun as this can have a minor impact on how the Undercover Black Sun rep reacts to the players in the adventure while at Duke Paddock’s party

How to Introduce the Characters

Players who have completed Rugged Road to the Ryll Mines should already be ready to begin play.  If you have new PCs they can be working along side the Twi’lek resistance fighters and are assigned to accompany the PCs on this mission.

At the start of this adventure the GM should review the PCs Adventure Logs for Escape from Mos Shuuta and Rugged Road to the Ryll Mines to see how much have the PCs learned about Teemo’s connections to Kubaz, Imperials, and the fate of Sivor.

Ways to Expand the Adventure

Reuniting with Nyn:  When the PCs arrive to Nabat to meet with Nyn as they arrive, Nyn and Ota cut off a transmission with Cham Syndulla the Twi’lek Rebel Leader and the PCs former employer THE BARRON.  PCs may attempt a Knowledge: Warfare to recognize the Rebel Leader.  If asked if Nyn and Ota are part of the Rebel Alliance they deny it.  If the PCs know of and have worked For THE BARRON, during The Jewel of Yavin or Enemy of my Enemy, they may reach out to him where he will inform the PCs that he is glad to see them alive and safe.  He will admit that he lost track of them after they vanished during their mission in Enemy of my Enemy.  He will inform them to trust Orta and help him out on this job.  Adding these elements helps the PCs feel they are part of the Larger Star Wars Cinematic Universe and included in Star Wars Cannon.  Furthermore, it will begin to open the door for our Edge of the Empire heroes to begin considering to join the Rebel Alliance or not.

Arrival on Geonosis:  The GM is encouraged to add a bonus encounter describing the arrival of the PCs to Geonosis.  Geonosis was a former construction location for the Death Star.  Upon completion the Empire committed genocide to the Geonosian people leaving all dead except for an insane queen and her battle droids.  After which the Empire abandoned the planet leaving a few large construction stations in orbit above the system.  Duke Piddock and Duke Dimmock returned to their homeworld after this genocide and after the Empire abandoned the world.  Because they have returned the Imperials have stationed a small fleet of ships in orbit to search for the survivors.  The codes provided by Ota should allow the PCs to enter the system.  These codes identify the PCs as Imperial Private Assets to assist in the hunt for the Geonosians.  However, bad rolls on their Astrogation check which include 3 threat or despair can result in the PCs coming out of hyperspace too close to the Imperial Star Destroyers resulting in a search of their starship.  This can result in a social encounter while the PCs nervously gain access to the planet.  The Krayt Fang is known to the Imperials giving the PCs boost on all social encounter checks as the Imperials have had close dealings to Teemo the Hutt and use Trex’s services to hunt the Geonosians.  The Imperials can question where Trex is, resulting in the PCs having to lie to the Imperials.  Little do the Imperials know that Trex did find the Geonosians and Teemo began to use this to his advantage in the development of battle droids below the Mesa of Mos Shuuta.

Duke Piddock’s Party:  The GM should review the PCs adventure logs to see if they participated in the One Shot First 6 adventure arc.  The GM should note the PCs relationship with Ranem “The Glove” Tiiv and if they PCs learned he was an agent of Black Sun.  This can influence the PCs relationship for positive or for worse when dealing with the secret Black Sun agent Maru Jakkar during Duke Piddock’s party.

Furthermore, it should be noted that Mu Nanb is watching the PCs actions during the party.  Mu Nanb was sent by Orta for the Rebellion to back up the PCs and observe if they are good candidates for joining the Rebel Alliance.  If the PCs seem to be assets who would match the Rebel Cause then he can offer the PCs an adventure hook to travel to Mesa 291 to meet an agent known as Fulcrum (aka Tiere) where the PCs have an opportunity to join the Rebel Alliance.  This is a hook for Rebel Breakout an Age of Rebellion adventure.  If the PCs impress Mu Nanb or if the PCs negotiate an amazing deal of gun running between the Rebellion and the Geonosians award the PCs 5 Duty.  Now as a GM you may ask why seed the Age of Rebellion Story in an Edge of the Empire Adventure.  This is because THE BARRON who is the PCs Contact and original benefactor works both in the underworld as part of his intelligence network as well as in support of a Rebel Cell.  If the PCs manage to work out a great deal for the Rebellion it will also add Geonosian Blaster Pistols, Rifles, and Carbines to the Rebellion for use in the Onslaught at Arda adventure.

Assault on Gantry AA7:  The GM should review the PCs adventure Logs for Escape from Mos Shuuta and Rugged Road to the Ryll Mines to see the fate of Trex.  If Trex is still alive he will confront the PCs and make one last attempt to fight them to recover the Krayt Fang.  If this is the case add Trex to the encounter in addition to Vrixx’tt.

Geonosian Negotiations Story Elements

Story Elements are to be documented on the Player Character’s Adventure Logs as proof of what story elements they have completed during game play.

The GM should note what Cover Story did the PCs use to attend Duke Piddock’s party.

Talk about exchanges and relationships with the various party attendees.  Note their relationship with Anatta.  Finally note the details of the end deal the PCs made with the Geonosian Duke Piddock and if they are agreeing to run weapons Duke Piddock and the Rebels on Ryloth.  This can gain the PCs 5 Duty.  This will also allow soldiers in the Onslaught of Arda adventure in the Age of Rebellion Story to gain access to Geonosian weapons.

What did the PCs learn in Duke Piddock’s party and were they able to use it successfully to also gain an alliance with Duke Dimmock?  What was the end deal with Duke Dimmock?

Did the PCs escape the Bounty Hunters who attacked them?  Did any of the bounty hunters survive?  Were the PCs Captured?
