When reading the  Beyond the Rim you only need to read Act 1: Tale of the Sa Nalaor at this point.  You are free to read the entire adventure.

Review Player Adventure Logs

At the start of the game session before play a Game Master should ask players if they can see their adventure logs.  This will help you make adjustments to your story to consider what the players have done before.

  • Beyond the Rim: Act 1: Tale of the Sa Nalor: The GM should review the fate of various members of the Yiyar Clan
  • Beyond the Rim: Act 2: Welcome to the Jungle: The GM should also note the current Yiyar Clan fate of various members and adjust characters who may have perrished.
  • Beyond the Rim Act 2: Welcome to the Jungle: What is the current status of the Empire who attached the Retreat.

How to Introduce the Characters

Players who have completed Beyond the Rim Acts 1 & 2 should already be introduced and continuing their Adventure Path.

New Players joining the story for the first time can be members of IsoTech who are stationed on Raxis.  They can be assigned as liaison to the Party.

Mission Objectives

  1. Arrival at Raxis Prime and evade the Imperials
  2. Defend the IsoTech Base from the Yiyar Clan Attack
  3. Help the CR90 Corvette escape Scrap Heap Point by completing repairs
  4. Escape Raxis Prime

Ways to Expand the Adventure

One of the best ways to expand the adventure is to allow the players an encountner in exploring the ruins of Raxis Prime and acquire gear that has been thrown away in the debris piles.  Searching for sought after gear should require a hard streetwise check with 2 setback due to the chaos of how debris was left behind on the planet.  If the players gain the assistance of IsoTech members add a boost dice to the players checks.  Once the players have identified where to go to look for said gear make it a mini adventure with lots of checks to climb the debris piles and crumbling old cruisers while competing to acquire the gear with opposing Jawas.  Make the players use coordination to squeeze into tight spaces.  Three threat or despair can result in hazards or other obsticals.  Triumph should mean that the player finds other sources of gear perhapse allowing a second reward item at the end of the session to be selected.

Toxic Motherlode Story Rewards

Story Elements are to be documented on the Player Character’s Adventure Logs as proof of what story elements they have completed during game play.

The Game Master should note the fate of the key members of the Yiyar Clan and how they were treated by the PCs once defeated as these characters can become recurring nemesis to the player characters.

Please note which repairs were made to IsoTech’s hidden CR90, Blockaid Bandit, and if it escaped Raxis Prime as this can affect the condition of the vessel in future adventures involving IsoTech

Did the CR-90 Blockaid Bandit make it to the Iso One Base and was anyone captured by the Galactic Empire.
